What housing conferences are

Housing conferences are organised events where council tenants, leaseholders, and shared owners can come together to:

• Hear updates on how Housing Services are run
• Share views on what’s working and what needs improving
• Ask questions directly to officers and speakers
• Listen to presentations from staff, tenant groups, and invited speakers

They’re essentially a structured space for resident voice, accountability, and two‑way communication. They’re not open to the general public—only people living in council housing or holding a lease/shared ownership with the council can attend.
